Sailing School Fano…
The target of Club Nautico Fanese is to promote the sailing as a sport and philosophy of life proving that sailing is easy and everyone can live this magic world with his own claims.
Basing on these principles, there are many activities like small boats sailing courses, keelboats and cruising sail courses for kids, boys and adults that love outdoor and sea.
Optimist (from age 7 to 13 ):
According with the Italian Olympic Committee new rules, also the Italian Sailing Federation proposes to youngs this sport as a game reconsidering the educational methods.
Leaving behind the competitive allegations on this phase of learning, Giocosport is currently the best and advanced way to teach the correct technique to improve the group activities and having fun. The children courses from age 7 to 13 begin from June 11th till September 14th for ten lessons in two weeks, 3 hours each (morning or afternoon).
The cadets will be min. 4 and max. 6 each course.
I° Level (beginning):
Basic notions of sailing. Students will learn the parts and functions of a sailboat, sailing terminology, basic knots and “rules of the road” as well as how to make the sailboat go where they want it to go and stop where it should, easy learning and first approach of navigation.
II° Level (improvement):
Revision of basic notions of sailing, improvement of points of sail, wind understanding, improvement of tacking and jibing, group games with small sailboats.
III° Level (pre-competition):
Constantly in water, sails regulation optimization, rudderless sailing, competition approaching, regatta strategy, tactic and practice.
Dinghy (from age 14 to 18):
Weekly courses, from Monday to Friday, four hours each lesson, morning or afternoon (min. 4 cadets)
Basic :
First approach to the magic world of the sailing, first experiences and new emotions. For beginners and limited sailing experience or haven’t sailed in a long time, this basic sailing course gives you the skills and confidence to take the helm. You learn the basic to skip a sailboat in good weather conditions, sailing terminology, points of sail, rig and unrig about, mooring and safe onboard.
Advanced:
Practice and “wind feeling” are acquired now. You increase sailing techniques, how to use gennaker and spinnaker, fresh breeze sailing, sails regulations and optimization and practice till you’ll be able to sail with confidence and totally safe. You can make this level only after basic course or showing knowledge and personal skills for it.
Keelboat (boys – adults):
Three week-end schedules include one evening classroom session, six day sailing for three hours each, from April to October. In summer time we also schedule keelboats courses from Monday to Saturday (min 4 cadets).
